Ex-dividend date

Also written ex-date.

Definition

The first day an issue trades without the right to the next payment. To receive it, shares must be bought before the ex-date.

Definitions describe how YieldDesk reads the term. Nothing on this page is investment advice or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold.

The records these terms describe open with a free account.

No card is required. Every record page reads what a security pays, what to check and the payment history.
