Conversion value

What one preferred share would be worth if converted at today's stock price: the shares received times the stock price.

Definition

The shares one preferred share would receive at today's stock price, times that price: what converting today would deliver. The record compares the preferred's price with it where a fixed-rate preferred is compared with par; a premium is paid for the dividends until conversion. Computed daily from the conversion ratio and the stock's price.
